Hi, I’m Shena'EE! The Lead planner and owner of ShayBernae. I’ve always been detail oriented, avid traveler, with a love of simply style, & hospitality. When I was younger everything had to match with a cute color. Nowadays I’m more into black/white with pops of colors, homebody lover, and just celebrating what really matters but in style. I’m a real ambivert, with a quite storm especially about my passions. As a true Chicagoan, Catholic school only girl spoiled kid, I’m always on the go, love the city life but in the south suburbs now, will travel anywhere to have a good time. In fact growing up I wanted to go any & everywhere, as long as I could bring sketch book + coloring utensils. Coloring & drawing is therapeutic for me probably why I love design so much.

My mother and I put on my entire wedding for almost 300 people ourselves. Linens, floral, invitations, coordinating the day of, we handled it all. While it was a beautiful day that I will always cherish and remember, some memories I can't seem to get over. No pictures of me with my bridesmaids. No professional pictures of the details, or my mom helping me get dressed, and so on. I just thought no bride should ever have to experience this. ShayBernae Events was created to assist with these small details that turn into big details, so you don't have too. Being in your shoes as a Bride, my CWEP education, work ethics, working a decade in this industry and being a avid traveler has had a vast impact on my ability to plan plan+style events.

I'm overly passionate about customer service, building connections, & designing each event to produce feel good experiences that last a lifetime. I bring a fresh perspective to the planning process, using my innate ability to curate an innovative luxurious encounter, not just for my clients, but for the guests of each event produced. However, we don’t just plan weddings, we celebrate life with a customized experience based on your vision.
